It is also available in 3 basic classes namely
- All Brown – Selected heartwood.
- Savanah - mixed light and dark(ie heartwood and sap wood)
- Cherry – Selected light portions of the wood
- Oregon Pine
- Hevea for sport floors
There are three basic types of installations for T&G flooring
- Glue down
By far the most commonly used wooden flooring installation system. Mostly used when installing unfinished floors that will require sanding and sealing on site.
This system creates a fixed floor with very limited movement and is most ideal for areas with low humidity.
- Batten System
With this installation system the floor is laid on a substructure or battens which create a raised floor with a hollow sound.
This is probably the oldest way of installing solid wooden floors.
- Self-adhesive rubber underlay systems.
At Single Title Investments we use two types of rubber underlays i.e., the Elastillon and Instalay systems. This system creates a floating floor and is good for acoustic control as it reduces noise.
Both our products have a basic option for domestic use and high performance for sports floors and wider boards.
This flooring installation system allows for laying on most substrates as the rubber underlay also helps with some unevenness.
